Stawell Regional Health (formerly Stawell Hospital) has been an essential community asset over the past one hundred and thirty years. The Stawell Hospital Foundation was set up in October 1989 to ensure the long term viability of our hospital. The Foundation operates under a trust deed and maintains a minimum amount of $1,250,000 with the interest earned used to fund vital equipment for the Hospital.
Our hospital has always enjoyed community support and because of this, the Foundation fund has continued to grow. By maintaining the minimum amount of $1,250,000 we can make sure money is available each year to provide the best possible health care into the future.

The core capital (corpus) of the Foundation will always remain at a minimum of $1.25m. This will ensure that with the prudent management an annual income can be assured.
Only the interest, will be used at the discretion for the Board of Trustees to fund the purchase of vital equipment for Stawell Regional Health.
