Support for female workers who support victims and survivors of family violence

A heart to show gratitude by staff of Stawell Regional Health

Family violence impacts everyone in the community. It can lead to homicide, serious injury, ongoing health issues, homelessness and poverty.

The 29th of November is International Women Human Rights Defenders Day. This day recognises the important role of female family violence workers.

Stawell Regional Health acknowledges the role of women who support victims of violence as part of their job.

The women who do this important work are sometimes abused and attacked in their own community. Stawell Regional Health wants to say thank you for your courage and you have our support.

Grampians Community Health have made a video to highlight the problems for female family violence workers.
