Stawell Regional Health says thank you to long standing board members

Joan Brilliant Board member at Stawell Regional Health with Rhian Jones SRH Board Chair at AGM

At its recent AGM, Stawell Regional Health reluctantly farewelled two long standing board members, Joan Brilliant and Peter Martin. Time limits have been introduced to restrict how many years someone can sit on a board, so these two stalwarts had to finally step down.

Joan Brilliant

Although Joan has completed her 30 years as a board member, she has been involved in Stawell Regional Health for more than 40 years.
‘I am still a member of the Stawell Regional Health Foundation and a Life Governor,’ Joan said. When asked about her most memorable time, she replied that ‘one of the best, but also most challenging times was being involved in re-building the hospital.

Peter Martin

Peter was a board member for 18 years. ‘I have been consistently impressed by the quality of all of the staff at Stawell Regional Health, everyone is of high quality and wants to do the best possible job.’

Peter believes that a country hospital in a country town reflects and affects the culture and fabric of that town. “I am very proud of our impact on the town, especially the new improvements and new services, some service we never dreamed of having here when I first joined the board.

Peter Martin is farewelled form the SRH Board after decades of service.
Peter Martin has provided his time and skill to Stawell Regional Health Board for decades. He was thanked and farewelled at the recent SRH AGM.
