Grampians Health Alliance
Stawell Regional Health (SRH) is part of the Grampians Health Alliance (GHA), a partnership of four hospital boards working together to improve, develop and grow shared health services across the region.
Other members of the Alliance include East Grampians Health Service (EGHS), East Wimmera Health Service (EWHS) and Beaufort & Skipton Health Service (B&SHS).
Recent significant shared services achieved by the Alliance include:
- Inclusion of Ballarat Health Services as an alliance member.
- Joint tendering across the Alliance for Linen Services.
The GHA has a strong voice when it comes to advocating for the effective and efficient delivery of health services across the region, and has been instrumental in driving key discussions on issues such as low occupancy in Residential Aged Care services.
On occasion it also comments on national and state health policy issues such as: the process for electing members to Health Service Boards; the future of the After Hours Doctor On-Call Program; Commonwealth funding for Rural Health Services; and the restructuring of funding support for General Practitioners in rural settings.
