Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

What is the Program?

An eight week program which can be joined at any time.

The Program aims:

  • For patients to live a full life with confidence.
  • To increase activity levels.
  • For patients and family to take control of their lifestyle to improve and reverse their heart disease.
  • To encourage the use of health and community services if needed.
  • To provide social support.
  • To provide education on your condition.

Staff providing education may include:

  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Social Worker
  • Nurse
  • Pharmacist
  • Dietitian.

What happens in the Program?

Each week participants will undertake exercises in our gym and an education session.

Exercises may include:

  • walking
  • bike riding
  • climbing steps
  • arm and leg exercises
  • gait and balance exercises.

Access to service

This program is aimed at any person who has had a heart attack, heart surgery or any other heart condition.

$35.00 for eight week program.

Monday – Friday
8:30am – 5:00pm

Tuesdays 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Thursdays 1:30pm – 3:00pm
