Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

What is the Program?

An eight week program which can be joined at any time.

The Program aims:

  • For patients to live a full life with confidence.
  • To increase activity levels and the ability to exercise for longer.
  • To provide education on your condition.
  • To encourage the use of health and community services if needed.
  • To provide social support.
  • To decrease the number of your admissions to hospital.

Staff providing education may include:

  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Social Worker
  • Nurse
  • Pharmacist
  • Dietitian.

What happens in the Program?

Each week participants will undertake exercises in our gym and an education session.

Exercises may include:

  • walking
  • bike riding
  • climbing steps
  • arm and leg exercises
  • gait and balance exercises.

Access to service

This program is aimed at any person who has had Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (C.O.P.D). This includes chronic bronchitis or emphysema.

You must have a doctors consent to join this program.

$35.00 for eight week program.

Monday – Friday
8:30am – 5:00pm
